NEW OPPORTUNITY – 19th FEBRUARY 2024

FRONT OF HOUSE – CAFE ASSISTANT

(Part Time, Day shifts, 12 hrs pw)

We are now looking for a Front of House team member to join our business on a part time basis. You will be flexible to work shifts throughout the weekly schedule, including weekends.

As part of our front of house team, you will be welcoming visitors to the cafe and helping us to deliver the very best experience possible. You will be taking orders at the table, and you’ll be serving lunches that are so exceptional they will fill you with envy that you’re not sitting down and eating it yourself. Then there’s our cakes, scones and savouries, fine loose leaf teas and great coffee, all inside our beautiful old timber barn.

The Role:

Welcoming visitors to the cafe with warmth and professionalism.

Taking orders and serving guests with hot and cold beverages and food

Provide attentive, timely and efficient table service to our cafe customers.

Assist customers in the shop area as required, providing excellent customer service at all times

Ensure servery, displays, seating areas comply with health and hygiene requirements

Adherence to health and safety procedures including food preparation and hygiene

Practice excellent food hygiene standards including storage, handling and cleaning

Assisting in all areas of the business as required, (cleaning – including regular deep cleans, stock replenishment, cash handling and card transactions)

Supporting the kitchen as required, (eg: loading and unloading dishwasher, pot washing)

The Person:

A friendly, confident and sociable character is essential.

Experience working in the hospitality sector would be essential.

Availability for shifts during opening times, for example weekends and holidays

Excellent communication skills

A warm and genuine customer service attitude
